The Fundació Mobilitat Sostenible i Segura, with the financial support of the Barcelona City Council, launches this first online telematic course, MOOC, dedicated to learning about the railway as an essential instrument for improving sustainability, economic, social and environmental, in our daily trips .
The course, despite being online, is organized from Barcelona and bears the stamp of this city. The course is based on a set of videoconferences where the agenda is explained and a subsequent debate is organized that will be exclusive to the enrolled students. In addition, students will be provided with a series of technical documents in Spanish and English
The videoconferences of the course will always be at 6:00 p.m. in mainland Spain (6:00 p.m. CEST), which is 12:00 p.m. in the western part of Latin America.

The course is aimed at people with an interest in rail, as well as activists or future activists in favor of rail and sustainable mobility. In the course of the course, the characteristics by which the railway is called to play a central role in the fight against climate change in the coming years will be explained.
Methodology. Through videoconferences. Given the situation of the COVID pandemic, it has been decided not to hold any face-to-face session. In addition, notes and reading materials will be provided in Spanish and English.
The evaluation will be made by the attendance to the conferences, which will be controlled, and by the level of participation of the students in the debates after the exhibitions.
The language of the course will be Spanish
Duration: 12 hours.
Calendar: From November 10 to December 10, 2020.
The tuition for the course is 30 euros, it will give the right to participate in the debates and receive the diploma certifying the use of the course and the issuance in electronic format of a certificate of completion of the course.
